ALL NEW ALBUM OUT 5/13/14

ON TOUR WITH POP EVIL +
ESCAPE THE FATE THIS SPRING

After announcing their brand new album “Hail The Apocalypse” last week, AVATAR is coming right back at you with a new music video for the title track, “Hail The Apocalypse.” The iTunes Pre-orders are LIVE with the video single being available right away to anyone that pre-orders a copy. Vocalist Johannes Eckerström comments on the new video:

“This is our best video to date. I play your friendly neighborhood doomsday prophet. You get to follow me facing the unbelievers & their reactions when chaos ensues. Good times all around & we are using some really amazing special effects to blow up the planet. Oh, and it’s done like a silent movie.”

The visually stimulating album cover is also being reveled. It vividly depicts the band steering their ship through a storm on the open sea with the apocalypse happening all around them. They’re facing it, riding the waves and taking on whatever comes their way. To the band, it symbolizes the time in the darkness that made these songs.

AVATAR will be supporting POP EVIL and ESCAPE THE FATE along side GLAMOUR OF THE KILL this spring on a full U.S. run, dates can be seen here.

The full track listing for the new LP can be found below including a cover of Nirvana’s “Something in the Way.”

Hail The Apocalypse” will be available via eOne Music in the U.S. on May 13, 2014. The new effort will be the follow up to the highly successful “Black Waltz” that was released in 2012. The band saw immediate success surrounding the release of “Black Waltz,” particularly at commercial radio. Metal Hammer Magazine nailed it when they described AVATAR songs as, “each one is a stylistic roller coaster ride!” The band made their first visit to the U.S. in support of the release, touring with SEVENDUST and LACUNA COIL.

Just after starting production on “Hail The Apocalypse“, AVATAR had the privilege of supporting AVENGED SEVENFOLD & FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH in Europe. With DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL in the U.K. and the prestigious ROCK ON THE RANGE FESTIVAL already confirmed in the U.S., AVATAR is eager to bring their new music to their fans.
