Rising independent retailer Absolute Merch is prepped to takeover the country with their innovative and collaborative band merchandise! Working with industry heavyweights like Good Charlotte, Set It Off and 3OH!3 – just to name a few – Founder Billy Candler is building a community of creators, helping some of the biggest bands bring custom, creative content to their fans.
“The goal since day one has been to not just be a ‘merch printer.'” While managing bands on his own, Candler found more and more artists asking for apparel that went beyond the norm. “No merch companies we worked with could handle the requests so we figured out how to do it ourselves.” Three years later, Absolute Merch is the go-to provider for industry vets and newcomers alike. While the old school “Insert Band + Tour Name Here” t-shirts are everyone’s favorite throwback, Absolute Merch is taking apparel to the next level. Rivaling street fashion staples like Supreme and Obey, and collaborating with the likes of Hands Like Houses, blackbear, Set It Off, Neck Deep and Pierce The Veil, Absolute Merch is turning the band merch game on its head.
What sets Absolute Merch apart at the end of the day is the community surrounding the company. Candler set out to create a lifestyle brand, not limited to music and the rock scene. “We want to interact with our customers…make it more of a lifestyle rather than just a company that makes shirts.” The heavy focus on band input and ideas brings the fans into the fold. Set It Off’s Cody Carson told fans, “We need to want to wear it as bad as you do.” This level of fan to band collaboration reached a new level, with metalcore rockers Silent Planet designing a custom tee for each city of their 26-date tour: https://goo.gl/JyKuxk.
