Another Hole in the Wall
Steger, IL
West Virginia rockers Bobaflex rolled into town Friday night as a part of their massive U.S. tour. Local bands that accompanied them were: Brandywine Drive, Michael Take the Sky, Deadlite Redemption, Depriving the Masses, I’m Broken, and The Shades. Bobaflex’s vocal onslaught comprised of two lead and two back up vocalists filled the venue with harmonious melodies throughout the evening. The band’s two founding brothers Shaun (Guitar/Vocals) and Martin McCoy (Guitar/Vocals) kept the crowd captivated during their set while regularly switching guitar and vocal duties. The group’s other three members Jerod Mankin (Bass/Vocals), Tommy Johnson (Drums), and John Hoskins (Guitar/Vocals) each brought their own unique style and energy to the performance as well. Bobaflex played some of their hits such as Bury Me With My Guns, Home, Chemical Valley, and Rise. With appearances in Revolver, Outburn, and other national magazines within the past year, the boys seemingly have a bright future ahead of them. They are worth seeing if you get the chance.
