“It’s shaping up to be one of the year’s most remarkable experimental albums, if the twisted pop sensibility and visceral electronics of EP 2 are any indicator.”
“More dancefloor-ready than either artist’s solo material, the project was originally born out of a series of impromptu live performances, so it’s easy to understand why the focus has shifted to something drastically more playable”
Diamond Version will release EP3 next Tuesday January 29th via digital download and on February 26th via 12”. EP3 is the third EP release in a series of five and features the tracks Turn On Tomorrow, Sense Of Urgency and Turn On Tomorrow (Version). Diamond Version has also released a video to accompany the final track. Echoing the previously released videos for EP 1 and EP2, this video for Turn On Tomorrow (Version) also utilizes rhythmic, flashing lights, but with a bolder sense of urgency (no pun intended).
Each EP accelerates the duo closer and closer to culmination, which will manifest itself in the form of a full-length comprised of tracks from these EPs, as well as new tracks. Diamond Version’s debut album is slated for release this summer.

Turn On Tomorrow (Version)
Diamond Version is the collaborative project between two of the most groundbreaking, experimental and visionary creators in modern music, Byetone and Alva Noto (founders of German label Raster-Noton).
“Diamond Version is a project born out of a live situation. We occasionally performed encores together after our solo sets. These spontaneous and improvised tracks always had a kind of “special energy” which we missed in our solo works.” Diamond Version’s audio-visual live performance debuted at Sonar 2012 with special guest Atsuhiro Ito (reviewed here by The Quietus).
The band have announced several dates for 2013 including the prestigious festivals Berlin CTM / Transmediale and Sonar Reykjavik, with more to be announced shortly.
Praise for EP1 & 2
“…listen to it if you want to get yourself pumped for an evening of stomping to aggressive dance instrumentals…it’s not for the faint-hearted.“
“an addictive take on dark, industral house music”
