UNWRITTEN LAW
Announce U.S. Tour Dates
San Diego’s legendary rock outfit Unwritten Law will be going on tour with long-time friends and fellow punk rockers Pennywise from Septemb
Pennywise was the first band to take us on tour and crazy shit happened,” recalls lead singer/guitarist Scott Russo, excited about being reunited with Pennywise who they haven’t been on the road with since 1994’s Focus movie tour. “Fletcher [of Pennywise] hijacked our van with us and our gear still inside and then proceeded to jump it off a dirt mound, do donuts in someone’s front yard and exit through a chain link fence that stretched, then snapped and smashed the back windows inward towards us causing broken glass to fall all over us and our gear. Ah the good ol’ days.”
Released this past Spring, their latest release Acoustic contains 13-tracks of flawless acoustic renditions of hits from their previous albums Unwritten Law, Elva, Here’s To The Mourning, Swan, and The Hit List.
Formed in Poway, CA in the early 1990s, multi-platinum recording artists Unwritten Law quickly garnered the attention of Southern California locals with their uncanny ability to combine punk sensibilities with a power pop, rock and alternative flare. At the top of the millennium, the band made considerable movement in their career with their album, Elva. The single “Seein’ Red” climbed to No. 1 on the US Modern Rock charts and demonstrated the band’s notable stylistic change of pace.
Unwritten Law is Scott Russo (Vocals/Guitar), Chris Lewis (Guitar, currently in Fenix TX), Johnny Grill (Bass), and original drummer Wade Youman.
