SALT LAKE CITY, UT | NOVEMBER 7, 2016: Revival Recordings artist, Artwork, has had quite the year thus far with signing to the North Carolina record label and debuting their EP, Black and White, which features single, “Black and White.” The band debuted their music video for “Black and White” back in September to much acclaim. The music video debuted exclusively with Alternative Press and as singer Sky Verdone explains, the song “was written in a time of my life that I consider to be some of my darkest days where addiction and self-doubt painted my life without color, love and acceptance. This art we create is a reflection of who I truly am.” Following this tumultuous release the band hit the road with fellow Revival Recordings artist, Famous Last Words.
Today, the band is thrilled to be hitting the road again to wrap up their 2016 debut with Rise Recording artist, Palisades. The tour kicks off in Albany, NY December 7th at Fusebox and will make its way up and down the east coast wrapping on December 22nd in Williamsport, PA at Ground Floor. Tickets are available now at wearepalisades.com.
More about ARTWORK:
Drawing, paintings and all forms of art have so many different meanings and interpretations. With music, it is no different. Hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, Artwork came together as if fate had already penned the future. Consisting of vocalist Sky Verdone, guitarist Sean Valdez, bassist Jarvis Anderson, and drummer Aaron Rudelich, the band prides itself on playing loud music and throwing temper tantrums in style while creating a sound that must be experienced to be understood. Artwork wants to be heard. They want their music to change people’s lives.
The dream began with the members still just in high school. It was obvious right away that fans resonated with the music, understanding the message behind the songs. After entering the studio to bring the material to life, Artwork self-released a music video for “Black and White” to a rapidly growing and hungry fan base. People wanted more. The traction landed the attention of North Carolina record label, Revival Recordings who subsequently signed the band to a record deal.
All that is left to do now is to take the show on the road. Artwork will be sharing the stage this fall with Alesana, Palisades, Famous Last Words, and Oh Sleeper. The debut EP Black and White is available now an all digital outlets.
