“This song is one of the only true ‘fiction’ songs we’ve written,” vocalist Ryan Kirby explains, “It’s about a person witnessing the end of the world, and their description of the event and how they’re dealing with it.” Shot in Glen Rose, TX and Flagstaff, AZ, the video is dominated by stunning, scenic landscapes. Director Kevin Johnson, who created the band’s video for “Dead Memory,” took breathtaking shots of the Arizona desert and the sprawling fields of Texas – Creating a complex and contrasting backdrop for one of Fit For A King’s most earth-shaking singles. “Working with Kevin again was a no brainer,” Kirby remarked, “We had such an incredible time doing the ‘Dead Memory’ video with him, and he is so creative with his editing and shots.”
Fit For A King mesmerized fans with 2016’s Deathgrip and its honest and emotional depictions of death and devastation. Spurred by the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, Fit For A King aimed and succeeded in turning harrowing times into a heart-wrenching record. Founded in Tyler, Texas the band has been building their fan base since their previous releases Descendants and Creation/Destruction. They’ve been praised by HM Magazine, Loudwire, Revolver, Alternative Press and more for their powerful and thought-provoking brand of Christian metalcore. Although their presence in rock music is sizable, their egos aren’t. Bobby Lynge remarked that, “More than anything, we want our fans to be our friends, and we want to stand out as gentleman.”
